Our Mission

Our mission is to help those in need regardless of race, religion or ethnic background. To bring communities together and work as one to accomplish a common goal. To involve children as well as adults in all activities, giving families the opportunity to bond while helping others in need. To empower those who need support as they fight unexpected setbacks and challenges.

D.O.G.S. 2717 is a 501(3) c Non for Profit family oriented organization centered on Christ. What started as a small group mentoring a handful of children in CPS has since blossomed into a city-wide movement that focuses on the art of giving. We are known best for our annual event that started 10 years ago called the “D.O.G.S. Best Christmas Ever.” The event brings volunteers together from all around the city to sponsor gifts and necessities for underprivileged and at-risk youth. We strive to make their Christmas one that mirrors the true reason for the season. They’re able to enjoy games, food, and gifts provided by individual sponsors and corporations. D.O.G.S.’s family members and kids are encouraged to participate so we can all experience the joy of giving.

We are dedicated to bringing people together to uphold what God’s love is truly about. We build lasting relationships with volunteers and their families. Anyone is welcome!
